Lockdown concerts: Seaside Serenade
Buoyed by the success and popularity of my first lockdown concert, on July 7th I teamed up with the Southwold Arts Centre in Suffolk to present a brand new Facebook Live show!
This time I was live in your living room with a nostalgic tribute to the Great British seaside. Aided by my beloved baby grand, I brought together a century of songs from a diverse musical catalogue taking in everyone from Irving Berlin to Chas 'n' Dave! It was a celebration of holiday-themed entries from the Great American Songbook in a distinctly British style, as well as our own home-grown talent.
Seaside Serenade was brought to you in collaboration with Southwold Arts Centre in Suffolk. The performance was free to stream, but donations are always welcome, and especially appreciated at this challenging time for performing artists and venues.
